If you’re looking to lose half a stone during lockdown, this will be the most important thing you read today!
As groundhog day enters its 9th week, most people have managed to form a new routine to adapt to these cray times…
But the wrong routine will leave you fluffy around the edges and dissatisfied with your appearance.
But don’t worry, you can still look and feel incredible this summer and lose half a stone during lockdown. These 3 great tips to help you get there…
1. Stop eating carbs for breakfast
I can understand that reaching for the porridge might seem like a healthy option. Hell, i’ve even seen people make this an absolute nightmare for your body by adding banana, honey and berries to their breakfast.
Here’s the problem.
Spiking your insulin levels by consuming large amounts of carbohydrates in the morning completely ruins your body’s ability to burn fat for the rest of the day.
High insulin is the enemy of weight loss. After all, your body doesn’t care about trying to mobilize fat for energy when you’ve inundated it with carbs for energy.
It doesn’t WANT to burn fat for energy. It’s costly. And so will choose carbs where possible, if you provide it.
Not only that, but you’re more likely to screw with your sleep after messing with your blood sugar.
And if there’s one way I recommend to gain weight, it’s to not sleep properly. So to lose half a stone in lockdown, you’re going to need to take your sleep seriously.
2. Stop with the rubbish
My clients know exactly what to eat, when to eat it, how much and how often. That’s what they’ve paid me for. But how are you supposed to know as an average person what to eat?
Start simple. You know that red wine and wine gums aren’t the secret to that flat stomach you’ve been dreaming about.
The easiest way to remove the junk from your diet is STOP BUYING IT. Don’t add it to your Deliveroo cart, don’t pick it up at Waitrose and stop heading down the crisp aisle.
I know you know this. But do you actually do it? Maybe it’s time to start TODAY.
3. You MUST TRAIN
Our gym has been closed by the Government since 20th March, yet plenty of our clients are still losing weight!
How do they do it?
Simple. They are consistent with their training. Lockdown hasn’t given them an excuse to gain weight.
In fact, one of our superstar girls is training twice a day every day! That’s 14 sessions a week! How do you think she looks compared to 20th March?
Look, training by yourself is a hard slog. Trust me, even us as coaches have plenty of days where we can’t be bothered and would rather sunbathe and bbq.
But by signing up to train, you FORCE your hand. When you’ve paid, you turn up. And I promise, if you can’t feel the difference between this training and Joe Wicks PE then i’ll refund you the payment in full. That’s how confident I am that the training will help you kick start your health in 2020 so you can go on to lose a stone during lockdown.
Someday isn’t a day in the calendar between Monday and Sunday.
If you haven’t managed to keep a regular training schedule and want to get some peronalised training for a fraction of what it costs to train with us at the gym while we’re closed, then click here and grab some sessions for as little as £12.
